Backyard adventure

A few shots taken with the G11 in our backyard.

Typical Auckland weather, very cloudy when you wish for a nice blue sky.

Instead, decided to fill the screen with flowers climbing on the wooden screen panel.

-Auto (Macro)
-1/320
-f4.0
-ISO 80

To get really low and close, I tilt the swivel screen upwards, bury the G11 deep in the lavender fields.

  1. Great stuff, i love the first shot! The vignette gives a great focus to the subject

  2. Great photos. I especially like the macro of the yellow flowers. I can’t seem to ever get good macros with my G11.

    • Which setting do you use?
I mostly use auto and just point the camera really close to the subject. After it reaches a certain focal point, the flower macro setting should appear and 9/10 times it does focuses beautifully.
If using any other settings, just remember to push that flower button first.

      Cheers
